ATTENTION CITIZENS OF WESTERN TOGOLAND!!!
The PEOPLES’ LIBERATION COUNCIL (PLC) OF WESTERN TOGOLAND once more wishes to draw the attention of all stakeholders (Protagonists and Antagonists alike) to this important Article in the U.N. Trusteeship Agreement on Togoland under U.K. Administration.
You are all aware of the many nicknames that Western Togoland once bore in parts and in whole. So if we today call it by its geographical name there should be no argument about it.
What I want to highlight here is the Article concerning land and natural resources of Western Togoland.
ARTICLE 8
“In framing laws relating to the holding and transfer of land and natural resources the Administering Authority shall take into consideration native laws and customs, and shall respect the rights and safeguard the interests, both present and future, of the native population. No native land or natural resources may be transferred, except between natives, save with the consent of the competent public authority. No real rights over native land or natural resources in favour of nonnatives may be created , except with same consent”.
This Article is the LIFEBELT OF ALL NATIONS. This is the shield to protect the value of your sovereignty. This is what all progressive nations protect. This is the very rule that poor and retrogressive states refuse to observe. Why??? The answer is simple: POVERTY OF INTELLECT! It is sad to say the overall intelligence of the people, especially their rulers is below the level of understanding this simple basic principle.
And this is why they remain colonized in the sham republic, a vicious circle of poverty and quixotic progress. My heart is still bleeding since I have come to the recognition that this is the reason why Ghana has been mining gold since 1844 but remains poor and still looking for new colonial masters East and West, North and South. Mining oil but seeking loans for school feeding programs on the richest arable land on the globe.
If Western Togoland wants to be free indeed then the must make use of whatever they are free to use and protect that which nature has preserved for them for the appropriate time.
It must be stupid to mortgage your resources for loans to protect them. To mortgage the future children for loans under the pretext of fighting for their freedom. What then is independence if you decouple Western Togoland from Ghana and tie her to the boot strings of China, Israel, America, Japan, Russia, France, or Fernando Po? Behold, I tell you the Truth you will remain enslaved forever if you dare disregard Article 8 of the Trusteeship Agreement. LET YOUR LEADERS KNOW THIS! Help your leaders to obey this simple natural law then the curse of perpetual poverty shall not make you its substrate.
Let not the wicked messengers and tricksters deceive you that since the Trusteeship Agreement is terminated that Article ceases to hold. Your intelligence must pick up the reason why it says ” the rights and interests of both present and future of the natives”
WHAT THEN IS THE WAY OUT???
All human beings living today have something they can give out to secure the freedom we crave for. Let them use that. Your Chiefs, Queen mothers, Contractors, managers and all professionals, street boys and girls, jobless youth and all categories of workers have the ability and the their widow’s mite that can be used to save ourselves. Your animals and birds, farm crops and skills and whatever you are free to use, are all helpful and useful for the flight into freedom.
Every single individual living today has something that can be used to secure all that we need. All categories of people can help competitively to secure the liberty we need without the necessity to take any foreign lone or conniving with exploiters to plunder our natural resources.
BUT ONE GREAT DANGER LIES AHEAD OF YOU. WHICH YOU MUST SURELY OVERCOME. TO REALLY DEPART THE OLD UNFAITHFUL WAYS PRACTICED IN GHANA FOR AGES, THE TRADITIONAL RULERS, CHURCH LEADERS AND ALL RESPONSIBLE CUSTOMARILY FOR HANDLING THE FUNDS MUST BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHERE THEY DIRECT WHATEVER THEY CONTRIBUTE OTHERWISE THEIR MONIES WILL GO TO FEED THE HAWKS INSTEAD OF THE CHICKS.
I sincerely wish you a successful restoration of Western Togoland as a noble state living in harmony with all its neighbors.
A constitutionally elected government is the key. The process is awaiting a legal backing. May the Lord of all grant it so.
