NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CONCERNED CITIZENS OF WESTERN TOGOLAND

NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CONCERNED CITIZENS OF WESTERN TOGOLAND

The year 2019 has come to an end, giving way to the New Year, 2020, the year of hope and action.
We have taken note of all the activities during the past year and we wish to congratulate all for availing ourselves for the various roles of engagements with regards to championing the course of peaceful restoration of Western Togoland, our beloved country.
We are all witnesses to the fact that, most of our activities during the past year were successful especially educating the masses about the untold stories of Western Togoland. It is on record that, within the shortest spate of time, education on whom we are as citizens of Western Togoland has been successfully executed through the entire land by a competent team. Our identity, which hitherto was hidden, has been revealed to us alas. This identity has not come as a result of falsification and alteration of documentation by us, but as a divine and true certification of international acclamation. The United Nations conventions and resolutions which established, endorsed and proclaimed the statehood of Western Togoland supersedes any legislative instrument of any country to totally obliterate the identity and territorial integrity of same.
Last year has also seen a massive investigations into past aggressions and military invasions of Gold Coast (Ghana) into Western Togoland where a lot of human rights violations and genocidal activities have occurred. We assure the citizenry that reports are being prepared on all human rights abuses and genocidal activities which occurred in the territory since 1956 till date for the purpose of legal proceedings.
Despite the tremendous achievement we have chalked, it is however apparent that a lot of things went wrong which somehow militated against our efforts.
We are talking note of the indiscriminate and unlawful arrest of some of our citizens by Ghanaian forces as a way of intimidating us from carrying out our lawful duties as peaceful people demanding the restoration of our human dignity. We are talking the necessary steps to restore sanity in that aspect too.
Fellow citizens of Western Togoland, we welcome you to the year 2020, the year of action.
We wish to appeal to all citizens, Christians, Muslim and Traditionalists to go on our knees for the first seven days to cry to our maker to guide us in knowledge and understanding as we pursue our course of peaceful restoration of our land.
The agitation for self-determination is not a matter of war and rancor but a peaceful transition from a state of marginalization to a state of full autonomy. You could recall from the Holy Bible that, when Pharaoh was very hostile to the Israelites when their time came for them to leave Egypt, they went onto their knees and prayed and God listened to them. They did not take any gun or weapons to fight their course, but only prayers and sacrifices delivered them from slavery. Our case should not be different.
As peace loving people, we urge all citizens to maintain peace and remain calm even in this difficult times of unlawful arrest and intimidation. We must not be provoked by any form of intimidation by Ghana to resort to a violent revenge. A lot of legal groundworks are ongoing by the leadership to restore Western Togoland in a peaceful manner devoid of violence.
We wish to inform you that, although the arrest going on in the territory are apparently politically motivated to intimidate us and to break our unity as one people we must remain focused on our agenda for peaceful restoration without violence or any form of hatred for one another.
By deceitful tricks, the government is sending the military and the police to arrest citizens of the land and turn round to provide lawyers to bail them from cells. When they are granted bail then government will pretend to be kind to them and use them as political tool to break our front for our forward march.
The government is trying all means to frustrate our discourse so we must be strategic not to resort to any violence act that will mar our success or dent our future relation with Ghana, bearing in mind that the government of today may not be the same for generations to come. Watch and pray that they repent soon.
As we entered into the New Year, we urge all citizens especially the youth to be careful in their celebrations. Avoid drink-drive and any activity that will result into preventable accident. We need all of you alive to pursue our restoration agenda and eventually build a noble state of Western Togoland.
Our major task in the year is the Constitutional process of forming a CONSULTATIVE ASSEMBLY, to participate in the writing of our CONSTITUTION and the ESTABLISHMENT of a CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT. This will help our facilitators, PLC to expedite their legal process and other activities on our path to the peaceful restoration of Western Togoland. It is proposed that, by the first quarter of this year our task should be fulfilled for our forward movement.
We are encouraging all citizens especially our brothers and sister from the northern section to be hopeful and participate joyfully in this constitutional process for a peaceful restoration of our land.
We are appealing to PLC to expedite action on the restoration of Western Togoland envisaged in her Restoration Roadmap. As the only hope for us, we wish to state that we are looking up to you to execute the task explicitly to bring victory to the Land of Peace – Western Togoland.
We are appealing to every citizen who believes in the restoration of Western Togoland to dissociate themselves from political activities that turn to divide us and sow discord among our people. We must use this year to rebrand our land and identify ourselves and activities as the people of Western Togoland and none else. In rebranding our land, we are appealing to every citizen who are artefacts or skillful in any activity to brand their products as MADE IN WESTERN TOGOLAND. All our products, such as gari, rice, pineapple juice, “Kete” cloth, and even baskets should be labeled as MADE IN WESTERN TOGOLAND. All chapters should engage in developmental activities as proposed by the PLC to enhance our restoration. This will go a long way to solidify our identity among other nations.
THE RESTORATION OF WESTERN TOGOLAND……….
THE TIME IS NOW!!!
WE WISH EVERYBODY A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND MAKE WESTERN TOGOLAND RESTORATION A REALITY.

Thank you.
