BRITAIN AIDED GHANA TO ANNEX WESTERN TOGOLAND FOR THEIR BENEFITS.
=======================
The failure of Britain and the negligence of the U.N. to do due diligence must not prevent GHANA AND WESTERN TOGOLAND from doing what is righ for them.
It is an established fact that Gold Coast did not have to vote on Union or Seperation because they were already having a government wishing to unite with Western Togoland. Western Togolanders had to vote in plebiscite because they were not self governing .
The U.N Resolution 1044(XI) of 13th December, 1956 obliged Britain. the Administering Authority to take the necessary steps for the establishment of the Union of Ghana and Western Togoland as chosen by the people of Western Togoland in the plebiscite.
Confirmation from the Administering Authority is that the said Union was established. But the Attorney General of Ghana, the Queen and the Government of Great Britain, and all agencies of the U.N. can testify today that they have neither participated, witnessed, nor have a record of any occasion in which this Union was established.
Please, read well the attached copy of U.N. Resolution 1044(XI) of 13th December 1956 and see the reason why the PLC recommends that Ghana and Western Togoland must set aside the failure of Britain and take the necessary steps to establish a true UNION for harmonious coexistence and perpetual development.
