Good evening fellow human beings, I salute you all from the pinnacle of the People’s Liberation Council (PLC) of Western Togoland.
The PLC is an organization playing the role of advocacy and promotion of good governance, education, development and agenda issues in the present day Ghana.
There are various groups agitating for secession of Western Togoland from Ghana for various reasons. The PLC is aware that it a legitimate human right for people to determine their own future at any point in time and has initiated a legal process in the UN Human Rights Court towards developing the harmonious coexistence of Ghana and Western Togoland.
We have received with surprise, the news that the leader of Homeland Study Group Foundation, one of the groups agitating for Western Togoland’s independence and some of his associates have been arrested for taking steps that could be considered as likely to disturb the peace in the existing union of Western Togoland and Ghana.
The PLC, however, wishes to humbly appeal to the Ghanaian authorities to consider in the first place, the age of the leader, Mr. CHARLES KORMI KUDJORDJIE and take care of him as they would Western Togolanders handle Ghanaian higher personalities too.
And for the fact that there is an agitation for self government in Western Togoland, we pray that the Ghanaian authorities consider the informal union of Ghana and Western Togoland fragile, and try as much as possible to handle the case with care to prevent eventful situations Western Togolanders have been avoiding ever since Ghana’s independence.
The PLC also wishes to alert the Government of Ghana that the legal steps we are taking at international level to regularize the informal union existing between the two loving countries must not be considered as a threat to the sovereignty of Ghana but rather as a booster to the true integrity of wise and civilized Africans.
With all sincerity, the PLC is hereby, making her humble appeal to all the fighting fronts, to exercise restraint in everything they do now, bearing in mind that Ghana and Western Togoland need the most harmonious kinship and we are naturally compatible enough to express it in every action of ours.
May our frequent call for constitutional behavior guide your conscience to strive for understanding the path of peace and love to enhance your liberation and development to the glory of the Most High.
Thank you all.
