THE CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND IN WESTERN TOGOLAND ON THE OCCASSION OF THE DEPUTY’S  VISIT IN APRIL, 2019.

THE CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND IN WESTERN TOGOLAND ON THE OCCASSION OF THE DEPUTY’S  VISIT IN APRIL, 2019.

Good morning, my fellow Countrymen. The PLC Steering Committee has directed that this meeting be convened as a matter of urgency so that we can have emerging issues discussed as one people with a common destiny.  The PLC as you all know is encouraging Mass Mobilization for Liberation and Development in an effort to rebuild Western Togoland as a noble state.  In this exercise we have not limited ourselves to any specified group because that will lead to exempting some sections of Western Togolanders from playing their required roles in the re-establishment of the state. We are glad to have you all here today.  We would like to take note of all organisations that are represented here so that we can extend official invitation to them in all our future progr for the benefit of all.

My dear ones, in matters concerning the future of the whole people, we don’t have to limit ourselves to our families, our schools, churches, political parties or social clubs. Neither should we limit ourselves to our professional or technical associations. This is why we invited you all here today. We are here to discuss things beyond our limited compartments. We are to think of Western Togoland as a whole in the changing of events which come our way while we are making the effort to establish our identity among the states on the Planet Earth.

You are aware that we have initiated a legal action for our recognition as a people whose destiny must be determined by they themselves. That action is in progress so we are not here to discuss it to show any contempt for the court.

The reason why we invite you all here is that, as a people, we have to look ahead as we are marching along our routes so that we may not fall into avoidable traps. In the changing phases of events on our land we ought to be sure we do what is right so that our future generations may not come to inherit our woes. We also have to leave legacies that our subsequent ones will be proud of.

So, we want to discuss things we can do as a people developing into nobility. The Peoples’ Liberation Council of Western Togoland wishes to see all of you as Western Togolanders.  We want every portion of Western Togoland to become enjoyable. We want every person in Western Togoland to become noble. What shall we do?

Peoples Liberation comes through education, development and good governance. We want to throw light on the blind side of certain thing being done in Western Togoland that will rather endanger our future generations if care is not taken. We also want to encourage our people to engage in development activities while we advocate for recognition of our state. But in all cases we must remain civilized in all that we do. It is only then that we can develop our state to the level of nobility that it deserves.

●SINCERITY

We have observed that it is becoming difficult for most of you to depart from the habit of insincerity which we have acquired over our many years of association with Ghana. The conditions in Ghana seem to favour insincerity and prohibit fidelity. Most people cannot survive without involving bit in a dubious activity This is a general challenge to all in Ghana. We must overcome it.

This challenge is the reason why some of you go about extorting money from people in the name of Western Togoland fighting for freedom. If you continue to do that, I am afraid, you are going to land the state into lawlessness beyond what is openly displayed in Ghana now. Everybody is blaming Ghana for corruption but you are all part of it. Those of you who carry papers here and there, demanding money from people to support the independence agenda, even to the extent of deceiving people that the instruction is from the United Nations, must beware of the implications. It is criminal even to the extent of branding the whole people as criminals. Please, stop it now!

If you have a genuine course to demand anything from the Peoples of Western Togoland, you can broadly publicise the information without fear. No one bars you from publishing an instruction that comes from the U.N.O.  No one forbids you from making such announcements on radio and television as you do with genuine programmes. Let us learn to be faithful. Those who go about with the name of the PLC or some popular organizations to extort money from people must put a stop to it. The genuine account numbers for the fight are openly published and does not need a go between the office and any contributor in handling cash. Please, if you really want to gain the freedom then you must free yourselves from all forms of insincerity now!

Some of you have advanced to the extent of implicating various organizations in your effort to survive through dubious means; the PLC will not defend anybody caught by the law, because we do not support crime.

● GOVERNANCE

At this juncture, I want to remind all those who have undermined the integrity of our traditional rulers or intend to do so that they are treading a dangerous path. You must all note that THE TRADITIONAL RULERS WERE THERE BEFORE THE COMING OF THE EUROPEANS! THEY ARE STILL THERE, SURVIVING ALL FORMS OF GOVERNMENTS! THIS MUST LET YOU KNOW THAT THE TRUE FORM OF LEADERSHIP IS THAT WHICH IS NATURAL. PLEASE, GIVE DUE RESPECT TO THE TRADITIONAL RULERS! THEY ARE NATURALLY ORDAINED TO RULE YOU! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO SERVE THE MOST HIGH!!!

I have just a little to say here now about political governance and also about environmental governance.  There are groups already fighting to rule Western Togoland.  Those groups must tread carefully if they want to sustain the freedom we all want.  Imagine a government that rules by decrees promulgated by some associates of some individuals. There will always be another group of individuals wishing to discredit the rulers and take over power with a new law. The PLC proposes a systematic process of collating information from the general populace of Western Togoland to write a constitution of the Peoples of Western Togoland.  That constitution must be endorsed by the Peoples in a referendum to be democratically conducted with the help of traditional leaders. We need manpower resources from all sections of the society without any discrimination for the success of the agenda.

On environmental governance, I should like to remind you of the forthcoming world days to be held in solidarity with our Planet  Earth. We are planning to supply a limited tree seedlings to willing groups to support communities in planting trees to mark the international days in solidarity with the Planet Earth.

My dear Comrades, I want to pause here and listen to your submissions so that we can know how fast or slow we can comfortably ride our horses into  the noble heights.

THANK YOU ALL !!!
