This authentic document states the basis of the U.N. Plebiscite on British Togoland (now Western Togoland) as UNION or SEPERATION. Therefore it is wrong to accept the distorted interpretation that the people voted to MERGE with Ghana. It is also wrong to accept the false notion that the people voted to become Ghanaians.
